If you are a first responder, or have been in a car accident, trauma can invide and impact your life and relationships. Even if you experienced trauma as a child, we know that its stored on the body and activiated even when there may be no percieved threat. You might find yourself being unable to trust others, having nightmares and dreading going to work or social occassions. We join with individuals to teach coping techniques, guided imagery, mindfulness, and learn ways to turn down the volume on past traumas and open new doors to discover personal strengths, build support, defeat fear and embrace moving towards not just surviving, but thriving.
Losing a loved one is one of the most painful events that humans experience. Grief is a normal process that may require support for grief to heal. Sometimes grief can become complicated when we are not able to move through the process of grief due to emotional barriers. Givng space for grief to be processed can allow you to understand conflicted feelings or parts of yourself that need to be soothed to live your life after loss.
